When classic Italian dining brand Zizzi wanted to capitalise on the burgeoning takeaway market, it turned to food packaging specialist PFF Packaging to develop a bespoke new bowl which replicated as far as possible its ‘eat in’ dining experience, even down to the signature speckling of the crockery.
PFF needed to leverage this partnership to raise awareness of its innovation and production capabilities and achieve recognition for its role in the project.
We implemented a trade media programme through a series of news releases and feature contributions, and recommended that PFF entered three key industry award schemes; sample bowls were also sent to key trade editors and journalists.
Comprehensive media coverage of the Zizzi project in all key trade titles as well as success in all three awards schemes entered: PFF won the ‘Best On the Go Packaging’ category at the World Food Innovation Awards, scooped Bronze in the prestigious Starpack Awards and was Highly Commended in the FPA’s fiercely contested ‘Product Innovation’ category.
