Gloucestershire based perfumery Essentially Me are looking forward to a bumper crop of orders this Valentine’s Day, despite the rise in VAT and aromatics prices.

With Valentine’s Day the first big spending point after Christmas, Essentially Me have decided not to raise their prices in line with the recent VAT increase.

Founder Alec Lawless says, “At Essentially Me, we’ve chosen to absorb the VAT increase rather than pass it on to our customers. We prefer to keep our pricing consistent; it makes it easier for our customers to remember. We’re still using the same high quality aromatics in all our products, making that luxury Valentine’s gift a bit more affordable.”
